Dr. Sharon K. Ninness is an educator, writer, and researcher--she writes grants for nonprofits and copy edits journal articles. Sharon recently retired from TAMU-C in the Dept. of Ed. Leadership, where she taught doctoral courses. Her degrees include a B.A. in English and Spanish, M.Ed. in Ed. Leadership, and Ed.D. in Ed. Administration and Supervision from SFA as well as a M.Ed. in Special Ed. from Texas Woman’s University.
Dr. Ninness's community service activities include delivering food from the ETFB to homebound seniors, serving on the Texas Food Policy Roundtable of Feeding America, and acting as a volunteer deputy voter registrar for Nacogdoches County. Sharon was recognized as Public Citizen of the Year by the NASW--Deep East Texas Branch in 2023, and she received a community service award from AAUW--SFA Chapter in 2024.
