Attention East Texas friends!
You're always askin' when I'm gonna do a show in this part of the country. Please mark Saturday, October 5, 2013, on your calendar. We're doing a fund-raiser/benefit show for my dear friends, Norman Johnson & Lill Mayes Johnson at the Appleby Sand Mercantile in Nacogdoches. The event is from 11am-2pm and there will no admission charge. I'll do my show from noon 'til 1pm. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided at no charge by Angela and Kevin Bradford. Norman & Lill are Nacogdoches Treasures. Norman's currently in Willowbrook Nursing Home and Lill is no longer able to work due to Crohn's Disease. I worked with Norman at a radio station many years ago. Many of you may remember his TV show called "Norman's Nacogdoches." Lill was also featured on the show with her "Lill Moment" segment. I know that you'll open your hearts to help these fine people. You'll be seeing and hearing more about this event in the days to come.....After this, if I see you in town and you didn't come to this show after naggin' me about doing something locally, you're gonna be in big trouble! You might even get a call from me that'll freak you completely out! Please share this with all of your friends and let's spread the word!
