Nacogdoches Historic Sites invites the community to take a step back in time at the Historic Skills Fair, happening Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Durst-Taylor Historic House & Gardens (304 North St.). This free, family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to explore life on a 19th-century farmstead through a variety of demonstrations and activities. Visitors will have the chance to see and engage with traditional skills and crafts that were essential to daily life in the mid-1800s. Demonstrations may include everything from traditional crafts and textile work to old-fashioned methods of food preparation and preservation.
