American Association of University Women meeting

The American Association of University Women will meet at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Millard’s Crossing, 6020 North St. President Pauline Sampson will preside over the meeting. Vice President Katherine Whitbeck will unveil the coming year’s programs with the theme “Women Coming to Nacogdoches from around the World.” Fascinating speakers are scheduled for the monthly meetings.

AAUW provides two major projects each year: the Expanding Your Horizons Conference and the Woman of the Year Banquet. Special projects raise money for scholarships and provide toys to the Empty Stocking Fund. Interested women are urged to attend and to consider joining this friendly group. The meeting will be preceded by refreshments.
